Marching News (Europe) is a part of the Dutch foundation "Mars & Show" with the web address www.marchingnews.eu. Thanks to our sponsors Vancore Percussion Instruments (main sponsor) and Mirasound (sub sponsor), our European dream came true! The main web site will have several sub sites such as be.marchingnews.eu, nl.marchingnews.eu, de.marchingnews.eu and uk.marchingnews.eu for the local news, each in their own native language. The major headlines of each sub site will also be translated into English and placed on the main web site.

Like the original Mars&Show website, Marching News will publish articles preferable as a portal site. This means, the text will be linked to an original article of a band's or corps' web site so our visitors will be transferred to that original site and so give the band/corps possible new or more visitors. Preferable, so it also means that some articles are only to be found at our web site and not on a band or corps site. In most cases, this concerns press releases send to us by email, or articles written by our own editors.

After searching for a new web name, the decision to use Marching News was made. Although the existing of an American site with the identical name, thanks to the good connections between Mars&Show and Marching.Com (owner of the American site) it was no problem to use Marchingnews.eu: A new name was born! We did add the word Europe to it, to give the region of the site a bit more accent.

Another important fact will be the joint venture between Marching News and Drumcorpsmedia.com. Both sites have very good relations with each other and photographers are often present at the same event (within the Netherlands for sure). Agreements will be made so that the beautiful pictures of Drumcorpsmedia.com also will be shown at the Marching News country websites where applicable. Within certain time, both Marching News and Drumcorpsmedia.com will speak about terms and possibilities to make this all happen. Of course, Drumcorpsmedia.com will continue to maintain their website.

For some of the local country sites we already found persons who will feed the sites with the country specific news items, each in their native language. Major items also will be translated for the main EU site. However, we always can use help and are searching for volunteers to help us out. Administrators and owners of Marching News Europe are Lieuwe van Hall (technician/engineer) and Evert Kipp (editor/spokesman), founders of the Mars & Show Foundation in The Netherlands.
